Teamwork and fair play

Working with others is harder than it looks. One child wants to be in charge of everything, another does all the work alone, someone's idea is ignored, and a game ends in tears because somebody lost.
In a team, on a pitch or in a group project at school, children have to learn to share out the jobs, listen to ideas that are not their own, and win or lose with grace.
A story shows how a group finds its way from squabbling to something that works. Your child can see a team struggle when everyone pulls in a different direction, then succeed when each person brings what they are good at, and notice that a fair leader listens. These lessons land more gently in a story than in the middle of an argument.
On this shelf you will find stories about teamwork and group projects, sharing roles, leading fairly, playing by the rules, and being a good sport when winning or losing.
