Once, in a sunny schoolyard, a little girl named Lucia loved to skip and twirl during playtime.
One day, Lucia stopped twirling. She noticed something she had never seen before. A boy sat all alone on an old wooden bench near the fence. The bench looked gray and tired, like it had been forgotten.
Lucia watched the boy for one day. He sat alone.
She watched for two days. He was still alone.
On the third day, Lucia felt something warm in her heart. It was a wiggly, brave feeling. She walked right over to the old bench.
"Hi," she said softly. "Can I sit with you?"
The boy looked up with surprised eyes. "Really? You want to sit here?"
