Oliver was pulling on his sneakers when his sock drawer started wiggling. *Boing!* The drawer popped open.
"What in the world?" Oliver asked.
Out jumped his socks—every single pair! But they weren't in pairs anymore. The striped sock linked heels with the polka dot sock. The rainbow sock hugged the plain blue sock.
"We won't match! We won't match! We won't match!" they chanted, bouncing around his room.
Oliver's tummy felt giggly. His socks were being very silly!
"But socks have to match," Oliver said. "That's the rule!"
The rainbow sock shook its toe. "Says who?"
*Whoosh!* The socks zoomed past Oliver, sliding down the hallway. They were surprisingly fast for having no legs!
