Rosie goes to the playground. Mom walks beside her. The sun is warm. The slide is shiny. The swings go up, down.
Rosie holds her red ball. It feels smooth. She rolls it. It bumps her shoe. Rosie giggles.
Then Rosie hears a sound. “Wahhh… wahhh…”
A little boy sits in the sand. His face is wet. His shoulders shake. His name is Ben.
Rosie looks at Mom. Mom kneels down.
Mom says, “Ben is sad. We can help.”
Rosie takes small steps. Step, step. She stops close. She looks at Ben.
Ben sniffles. “Truck… gone.”
Rosie looks. Rosie sees tears.
